This family is one we have had the privilege of photographing for the past several years. We have watched their girls grow — documented each stage, each face, each phase — and this session was no different. Baby was turning six months old. Two older sisters, a beautiful home, and a family that knows by now exactly what they want: real photographs that will live on their walls and in their albums long after this season of life has passed.

A Six-Month Session — and Years of History

What makes this particular session so meaningful is the context. We did not just show up to photograph a baby. We showed up to continue a story.

These three girls have been photographed together since the oldest was 6 months old. Each year we come back, the faces change a little. The oldest stands a little taller. The middle one has opinions about her hair now. And this year, there was a new baby — round-cheeked, blue-eyed, completely unbothered — sitting in a basket in the studio light like she had been doing this her whole life.

A milestone session. Six months is one of the best ages to photograph. Babies are sitting up, smiling on cue, and fully present in a way that newborns are not yet. They still have that baby softness but there is a personality starting to come through. It does not last. These images will matter.
