A Soft and Timeless Newborn Photography Studio in NYC

We began with simple portraits of the baby on his own. He was photographed wrapped in white, lying comfortably on a soft white blanket, and wearing two classic knit outfits. The neutral setting allowed his tiny features—from his little hands and eyelashes to his sleepy expressions—to remain at the center of every image.

His pale blue outfit was from Feltman Brothers, while the beige knit outfit was from Blu Caramel. Both pieces photographed beautifully and added a traditional, understated touch without distracting from the baby himself.

I especially love including a mix of peacefully sleeping portraits and the unexpected expressions that make every newborn gallery feel personal. Even a tiny yawn becomes part of the story of these early days.

NYC Baby Boy Portraits in a Light-Filled Studio

The session also included photographs with both parents, as well as individual portraits with Mom and Dad. Their neutral clothing worked beautifully with the clean studio palette and kept the final gallery feeling connected from beginning to end.

Some of my favorite images are the closest ones: Mom looking down at her son, Dad holding him against his chest, and both parents gathered around him together. These photographs preserve more than what their baby looked like—they hold the tenderness and closeness of becoming a family.

I also photographed the smallest details, including his hand resting beside his mother’s ring. Details like these change so quickly, and including them creates a fuller, more meaningful record of the newborn stage.
