As an NYC studio newborn photographer, every so often a session walks through the door and just stops you in your tracks. Baby Emilio’s session was exactly that. From the moment this family of four settled in, the whole room felt warm, full, and completely alive with love.

Emilio came dressed in the most beautiful soft blue knit set — a little bonnet, matching footie outfit, and the tiniest mittens you’ve ever seen. His big brother was right there beside him, already the proudest older sibling in New York City.

Can we talk about big brother for a second? He sat right next to Emilio with the most content little smile, like he already knew this baby was his. The two of them together — that tiny newborn curled up beside his older brother — is the kind of portrait that will hang on the wall for decades.

Mom, Dad & Their Growing Family

Mom came in wearing a gorgeous warm beige dress, and dad kept it clean and classic in white. Together, they looked effortlessly coordinated — warm neutrals against the bright studio backdrop, all attention on the star of the show.

Dad’s face holding Emilio for the first time in studio? That profile shot, gazing down at his newborn son? Absolutely everything.

Mom’s portraits holding Emilio were stunning — that radiant, peaceful energy that only a new mother has. We captured her with eyes closed, just soaking him in, and also beaming straight at the camera. Both are equally beautiful for completely different reasons.

The Tiny Details That Go By Too Fast

Between the family portraits and the sibling shots, we slowed way down and got close. Really close.
